United Date Processing Co, a Limited Liability Company was incorporated in the year 1999.  It was initiated by the rich experience in the date industry of Sheikh Saud Hamed Al Zakwani.

The Zakwanis were traditionally a business family with strong trading ties of Date and other commodities with the Indian subcontinent for nearly a century. Saud Al Zakwani, the Chairman proudly inherited this passion for Date from his late father and visualized to modernize and enhance this conventional trading and processing methods. Saud also leads the Marketing department aggressively along with marketing staff. Besides, procurement of raw materials, needless to say, a Herculean task is overseen by him personally.

The young, dynamic, passionate Qais Al Zakwani, the Managing Director of the company completed his post-graduate degree at the London School of Economics. Qais works as a senior officer for the Government of Oman in addition to holding key positions in governmental and non-governmental organizations. He is also a brand ambassador of the company during his retreats with the higher circles of the society. His main areas of interest in the company are Quality, Branding and packaging. Qais is a sports enthusiast holding key positions within the sports sector in Oman. He is currently the Secretary General of the Oman Swimming Association in addition to being the Secretary General of the G.C.C. Swimming Committee. 

Mrs. Nargis  Saud, the proud mother of four is the  Director assisting the Chairman as a Managing Partner. She is an entrepreneur with interests in the fashion scene and Nursery. She is running an elite fashion boutique in the capital catering to the fashion conscious locals and other nationals. She is also a green lover managing one of the largest nurseries in the Capital.

Wardha Al Minji the Factory Manager is a young Omani woman experienced in the confectionary and Arabica sweets handling the day to day affairs of the company. Her leadership qualities are excellent and she leads 80 workers at any given time of the year. She is in charge of all operational aspects like production, purchases and liaison with the Governmental organizations.

B C. Lincoln heads the Marketing Department. An Aircraft Maintenance Engineer by profession is now cruising in the Date industry for more than a decade He has had his earlier marketing stints in tobacco, consumer, pharmaceutical, industrial products, confectionery, biscuits and the service industry. He had also held several positions in the UAE, Far East and India before coming to Oman in the early eighties.

The beginning was modest, outside the capital in a farm house with a handful of employees processing manually. Since then there has been no looking back. Within two years we were forced to relocate ourselves in a strategic place in the Capital due to the growing demand of our products and space constraints.  A unique and bold strategy was to market the products under a brand, which was never tried in this market. To day Golden date products can be sighted the moment you step down at any of the international airports in the region and at home. Thus Golden dates have today become a name synonym for processed quality Date. We can assure that our freshly packed products are available at all the major outlets in the capital and the satellite towns in the Sultanate of Oman. We are proud to mention some of our prestigious clients from our endless list. The Airport Duty Frees in the region, Flight Kitchen, Divan, Ministries, Defense, Hotels, Restaurants, Bakers, Confectioners, Caterers, Hyper markets etc. etc. Our volumes have grown ten fold or more from what we achieved at the end of the initial year.
